This qualification is aimed at people working in pest control, giving them the tools to be better equipped to carry out their professional duties safely and efficiently.
It is designed to provide an understanding of public health pests, methods of control and fulfils the legal requirements relating to the training of pest control technicians, as set out in the Control of Pesticides Regulations 1986.
This qualification is for pest control technicians who are looking to progress from the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management. It will enable successful candidates to demonstrate their advanced knowledge and expertise of pest management.
Candidates will gain an in-depth knowledge of the management of vertebrate and invertebrate pests. They will be able to identify a range of invertebrate pests and distinguish these from a range of invertebrate animals that are commonly found in association with them. Participants will also be able to understand a range of factors that affect the delivery of pest management services such as legislation, health and safety and environmental issues.

This training course is designed to prepare trainees for the Level 2 Award assessment in the safe use of aluminium phosphide for vertebrate pest control.

This qualification will provide delegates with an understanding of why the purchase and use of professional use rodenticides is controlled, and why other rodent control methods should be considered before rodenticides are used, in line with the CRRU Code of Best Practice. This half day course teaches the basics of a site survey. It will help you to identify the source of the infestation, create a treatment plan and resolve the issue as quickly as possible. The course will also cover pricing and quoting on different treatment plans and how to best sell aftercare and contract work.

This half day course covers the basics for commercial and domestic proofing. The course includes a brief introduction on pests, their biology and habits. It will also give guidance on inspection methods, prevention options, proofing techniques and the best products to use when proofing.
